How Can I Get A Medicare Supplement Plan F Now That It's No Longer On The List?

The big question out there today is: Can I buy a Medicare Supplement Plan F now that I can't even find it on the list of options (Medigap Plan A through N)?

Well, most of the articles that you see out there say that you're no longer able to get a Supplement Plan F. The actual change will only affect people who are becoming eligible for Medicare Part B on January 1, 2020 or later.

Medicare supplement Plan F has been the most popular supplement plan for more than 20 years. The main reason for this is that it covers 100 percent of the bill after Medicare pays its part.

When Will I Lose My Supplement Plan F?

The short answer is that you won't lose it. You could stay on your Plan F with the company that you're on now. And you can still shop for your Medicare Plan F supplement from other companies.

If you're on a Medicare Plan F supplement, all insurance companies must guarantee the policy to renew — so long as you're making your monthly payments on time.

In conclusion, we are not losing Supplement Plan F. It is only people getting Medicare benefits on January 1, 2020 or later that won't have the option for Medigap Plan F. If you have further questions on this, please let us know.
